A description of facial expression captureFacial expression capture is the process of digitising an actor's performance into a special format. The format represents expressions without containing any information about the actor's appearance. For example the word "smiling" conveys a facial expression without telling us the nationality, sex, etc of the subject. We capture a very detailed description of an expression. This is achieved as follows... The face has many muscles that are used to form expressions. Each muscle may be relaxed, fully tensed, or somewhere between.
